Biography
I was born in Bromley in 1953 and have lived in the Sevenoaks area most of my life. I’m married with two older children. I started my working life as a craftsman, which over time developed into running a business. After many years running the business it ended in 2006.
I have been interested in understanding life since being a teenager and I’ve looked at various approaches over the years. In 1986, after some particularly difficult personal times, I started my own psychotherapy journey. I found it a wonderful relief to understand what had been driving me to be the way I was and over time to become more of who I am; and my journey towards being continues to unfold.
Many years ago it became clear to me that this was an area of life that I wanted to work in. My interest, excitement and sense of meaning were here, so in 1999 I embarked on the daunting journey of becoming a counsellor and psychotherapist.
I practice from home and hope to soon to complete my training, i.e. my MA, diploma and UKCP accreditation.
